Syed Abdul Rahman Alsagoff
Electrical Engineering Graduate New Associate Systems Engineer
I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from NUS, batch of 2012. Since the early years of life in engineering, I always believed that the future was gearing into two key technological aspects, namely connectivity and renewable energy. Having taken a specialization in school related to the latter, I wanted to immerse myself in the world of connectivity and integration of technology as my career path. Cisco, as a world leader in network systems solutions and telecommunications, was at the top of my list of possible companies to work for. The company’s vision aligned with my beliefs and their technical expertise in this field coupled with their impressive technological innovations was a huge motivating factor.
I learned of CSAP from the NUS Jobfair. Research on the program led me to many positive reviews from past CSAP graduates from all over the world. Touted as one of the best career training programs, I relished the chance to be part of it. I believe that the program would combine both my flair in communications with my technical ability. The structured program would provide me with the resources in expanding my business acumen, technical knowledge, executive presentation and sales skills as well as learn about the company’s architectures, solutions, products and competitors. The global program also gives me the chance to work with future leaders from all over the world via a new, state-of-the-art technology platform utilizing in-house products such as Cisco TelePresence, WebEx and video.
As a fresh CSAP associate, I am extremely excited to start at the end of July and experience a journey like no other with Cisco Systems.
