The Programme

The Product Analysis Intern role will gain exposure in the requirements discovery, planning and execution of technology strategy across the APAC region, focussing on both streaming platforms & linear television.

This role will be responsible for interfacing between the multiple global technology pillars that make up the wider DE&E Technology function, and local business stakeholders primarily in Australia & New Zealand to develop requirements for new product functionality and improve existing features across both Linear TV Networks & Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) services such as Disney+.

What You Will Do 

  • Support frequent workshops as part of a local steering committee for new & improved product requirements with local business stakeholders.
  • Document the outcomes and actions of these workshops in industry-standard tooling such as Airtable & Smartsheet.
  • Interact with International Technology teams located primarily in EMEA & US to gain feedback on these local business requests.
  • Provide timely communication of key roadmap or timeline updates to local business stakeholders.
  • Support the transition of programs from the discovery phase into execution.
  • Ensure that as the program progresses through execution, the product deliverables align to the agreed scope for delivery, and effectively communicate any gaps in a timely manner.
  • At all stages, generate concise executive level reporting on overall project health.

Internship Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree.
  • Still an undergraduate and not yet graduated during the internship period.
  • Must be available for full-time internship commitment (Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm) between July to December 2024.

Requirements:

  • Currently an undergraduate pursuing a bachelor's degree in Media, Engineering, Technology or Computer Science.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook).
  • Basic familiarity with tools such as Smartsheet, Airtable & JIRA would be a plus.
  • Knowledge or interest in the technology powering Traditional TV & Streaming Services is a plus.
  • Interest or fan mentality for Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel & ESPN.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a constantly evolving organization, and to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Strong team player; possesses good interpersonal skills with a high level of enthusiasm in collaborating in cross functional teams.
  • Adopts a challenging and questioning approach, proposing information and solutions in creative ways.
  • Passionate team player with a never-ending curiosity.
  • Self-starter that needs minimal supervision in motivating himself/herself, always looking for opportunities to contribute to the program.
  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet competing deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strategic thinker with good communications skills.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to leverage on data to develop strategy/decisions.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
