The Programme

We are looking for a highly motivated Research & Insights Intern to join our Strategy team at Edelman.

This position will support our Strategy and other business teams on various projects which require industry/market research, audience insights, competitive analysis, and strategic planning.

The successful candidate should have a strong desire to learn and interest in mastering martech and research tools. You are not expected to know everything but have enough drive to show up and find answers when faced with a problem.

Adequate support and mentorship will be provided along the way.   

About the Internship:

This is a full-time internship program for a period of 6 months.

What You Will Do

  • Knowledge management – oversee and manage the martech/media analysis/social listening tools and processes necessary to drive research, strategy and analysis.
  • Understand the various research tools available and actively use them to offer insights for better, more data-driven work.
  • Assist project teams in conducting research and analyzing data on industry, market, media, cultural, competitor and audience trends to identify gaps and opportunities for client projects/campaigns.
  • Unearth insights and learn how insights are turned into strategic direction.
  • Assist project teams in general research work and tools onboarding/training.
  • Support in crafting inspiration stimuli such as case studies, analogies and other campaigns to prompt new ideas and thinking.
  • Open to learning new tools and research sources. 

Requires Skills and Abilities

  • Currently pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, or any related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills; experience working with data is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes, technologies and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. 
  • Optional but good to have: Knowledge of martech/media analysis/social listening tools such as Brandwatch, Newswhip, Emplifi, GWI or other similar platforms.
