The Programme

Through our internship program, you will gain first-hand experience with an industry leader in the refining and petrochemical industry, where your work, and that of the teams, contributes to the growth and future of our business, as we provide energy, sustainable products and solutions for society.

Beyond that, you won’t be doing it alone as you will have a supervisor & buddy assigned to you who can help you navigate the organization, give advice on your development & help you learn what it takes to achieve your goals.

As part of the assessed internship, you’ll have a formal final review on project delivery and performance by your supervisor. You’ll also be asked to prepare a final presentation or report about your project. 

Your internship scope would include:

  • Data Management and Analysis – Using data centered approach to collate internal and external data to drive observations and insights which may inform sales/marketing/supply/pricing team to further advance business in AP tribe.
  • Sales Support – Assist sales team in Singapore on projects, activities, internal or external events.
  • Others – Depending on business need, contribute to marketing, sales or strategy projects or initiative.

Required Skills and Abilities

To be eligible for our Internship Program, you should be:

  • Preferably in your penultimate year of study.
  • A degree in any Engineering course, Computational Science, Data Analytic, Statistic/ Mathematics major, Business/ Accountancy.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to interpret market data.
  • Excellent attention to detail for accurate analysis.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and other trading functions.
  • Experience and competence in working with spreadsheets, data analysis using excels, Power BI etc. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
