What You’ll Do

Your HSBC journey will be built upon - and thrive with - your skills.

Over the course of two years, you’ll get to:

  • Explore Digital Business Services (DBS) – the foundation of our organisation, providing the operations, technology and business services we need to succeed
  • Complete four rotations – in Global Operations, our Deputy Chief Operating Office, our Chief Control Office and Global Procurement
  • Take part in different activities; from managing transformation projects to implementing mergers and acquisitions, and advising on risk and governance to leading teams in one of our Global Service Centres

Depending on your role, you could be:

  • Delivering digital solutions as part of existing and emerging projects across our various business lines
  • Driving change initiatives that simplify and standardise our processes to make life easier for our colleagues and customers
  • Analysing and interpreting data and management information, including financials, operational performance, and risks and issues monitoring
  • Supporting our innovation agenda by identifying and solving problems, researching market practices and driving an innovative culture

What You’ll Learn

We’ll help you develop the technical skills most relevant to your role. We’ll also provide plenty of opportunities to advance your non-technical skills, like relationship management and collaboration, that will help you move your career forward successfully.

During your time on the programme, you’ll:

  • Have a dedicated Programme Manager to provide you with support and guide your journey through the different rotations
  • Embrace agile ways of working and develop strong influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Gain first-hand experience in strategy and planning, business, people and project management
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of how our organisation operates, and all the skills you need to be a Senior Operations Manager at the end of the programme
