Regional Supply Chain Intern - Stock Optimization

The Programme

The intern will be supporting the Supply Chain Team by implementing a viable Stock Optimization program and providing efficient analysis of the gains it brings to our Company through a mission that is mainly operational but with the need for regular analytical reporting of the results.

Implement and drive a long-term Stock Optimization program:

The operational aspect of the mission involves firstly, an understanding of the rebalancing activity within our organization with respect to the principles, constraints, and methods as well as the different tools available today to analyze any needs of stock rebalancing within the network.  

Secondly, a program should be conceived based on clear results to achieved, relevant indicators and planned with coherent calendar while taking consideration of operational feasibility.  

The program must be aligned and coordinated with necessary stakeholders such as Distribution Planner, Sales Planners, Merchandising Team, Retail and Warehouse Team. Lastly the program needs to be realized and followed consistently to reach the desirable results. 

Analyze and communicate the results of Stock Optimization program:

The mission involves as well devising efficient reports that can accurately measure the benefits of the actions from this Stock Optimization program.  

The results should be easy to compile and presented in concise, interesting way to incite awareness and identify areas of improvements either quantitatively or qualitatively.  

The measurements presented should be relevant and meaningful to the Company. 

Required Skills and Abilities

• Analytical with experience in operational processes.
• Organized, Meticulous and Data oriented.
• Flexibility to adapt to fast-paced and changing environments.
• Team Spirit with strong Communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and being accountable with minimum supervision.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
• PowerBI knowledge, Programming skills (VBA, SQL), SAP experience will be an advantage. 

Employment Type  - Internship, Full Time (6 Months from August 2024).
