The Programme

Join us this Summer for our Structured Internship Program from May to August 2024.  
 
In addition to gaining valuable work experience alongside industry experts, you will also benefit from ongoing engagement, career development and networking activities. 
 
You will be joining Munich Re’s consulting unit in Singapore, comprising energetic and expert data scientists, actuaries and product developers who are pushing the boundaries of (re)insurance.

What You Will Do

• You will support the end-to-end development of analytics solutions for our reinsurance clients and partners. This means understanding the business needs and data availability, preparing data pipelines, developing and deploying models and solutions to add value to the business 
• You will be developing and optimizing code, models and pipelines to enhance the delivery of analytics solutions. 
• You will assist internal and external stakeholders with visualizing analytics output. 
•  You will be researching industry best practices and coming up with practical solutions to help develop and/or improve business. 
• You will be required to work closely and proactively within and outside the consulting team, including offices across APAC and HQ.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Pursuing a tertiary course or degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or a relevant financial or quantitative discipline in a leading university.  
• Knowledge and experience in various programming tools and languages (e.g. R, Python, SQL) 
• Familiarity with visualization tools and software (e.g. Power BI). 
• Knowledge of advanced ML and statistical learning methods. 
• Strong communication and business relationship skills to effectively explain analysis, both. verbally and in writing. 
• Self-learner, and willing to push boundaries. 
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Microsoft Azure) and big data platforms (e.g. Databricks) will be an advantage. 
• Knowledge of data engineering and pipeline development will be an advantage. 
• Experience in the (re)insurance industry will be an advantage.
