The Programme

Intern will report into current JAPAC Personal Health Consumer & Shopper Insights and Analytics Lead and provide support across various consumer research, commercial data and campaign analytics projects to help drive business growth planning, including: 

  • Data & information gathering, analysis and reporting using multiple data points from internal and external resources (e.g. GfK market shares, Brand Strength, Euromonitor, Google Analytics, e-comm platform seller centres etc.).
  • Facilitate set-up of data systems with internal/external partners e.g. MMM, online shares tracker, campaign effectiveness tracker.
  • Support localization of global insights and data framework and analysis e.g. audience segmentation insights, success relative importance model, KPI dashboards.
  • Support execution of Consumer Learning Plan: Exposure to strategic and ad-hoc consumer research pieces through collaborations with external research vendors from briefing, project coordination to final reporting - both quantitative and qualitative. 

Key Stakeholder interfaces:

  • Main - JAPAC Consumer Insights team members, Marketing Activations team, District Marketing and Commercial teams across the zone.
  • Secondary - Global Consumer Insights and Commercial Analytics teams, Global Marketing Analytics and Forecast team. 

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Located in Singapore.
  • Ideally background in marketing and/or psychology, business, statistics.
  • Strong interest in understanding consumers and representing them in the business.
  • Analytical and curious mind to challenge the status quo.
  • Proficient in MS Excel (key), PPT, Word.
  • Able to work with large data sets and dig deep when necessary.
  • Willing to learn how to do storytelling beyond data points.
  • Bonus if have data analytics background with practical knowledge of programming languages to aid in data analysis.
  • Bonus if conversant in language of one of our key markets e.g. Korean, Japanese, Bahasa Indonesia, Thai.
