Intern - Inclusion & Diversity - APJC ID&E Team

The Programme

This is a 12 month internship opportunity with the Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Management team in APJC.

About us:

At Amazon, we are working to be the most customer-centric company on earth. Our success depends on building an inclusive environment that values talented individuals from all backgrounds. If you’re passionate about building and managing programs that help foster diversity, equity and inclusion, this is your chance to make a difference.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our regional Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (ID&E) Team as an ID&E Intern to support a variety of ID&E programs that helps us build a welcoming, supportive, diverse and inclusive workplace.

The ID&E Intern will work within the AWS APJC ID&E Team and report to a Sn ID&E Business Partner. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced ID&E team members and get involved in all elements of ID&E programmatic strategies and execution. You will work with our team of ID&E Business Partners in the region to help develop and execute on a variety of ID&E programs and initiatives which are targeted to attract and support diverse talents and foster a culture of equity & inclusion within our businesses and communities.

Inclusive Team Culture:

Here at AWS, we embrace our differences. We are committed to furthering our culture of inclusion. We have ten employee-led affinity groups, reaching 40,000 employees in over 190 chapters globally. We have innovative benefit offerings, and host annual and ongoing learning experiences, including our Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (CORE) and AmazeCon (gender diversity) conferences. Amazon’s culture of inclusion is reinforced within our Leadership Principles, which remind team members to seek diverse perspectives, learn and be curious, and earn trust.

Work/Life Harmony:

Our team puts a high value on work-life harmony. It isn’t about how many hours you spend at home or at work; it’s about the flow you establish that brings energy to both parts of your life. We believe striking the right balance between your personal and professional life is critical to life-long happiness and fulfillment AND WE encourage you to find your own balance between your work and personal lives.

Mentorship & Career Growth:

Our team is dedicated to supporting new members. We have a broad mix of experience levels and tenures, and we’re building an environment that celebrates knowledge sharing and mentorship. Our members enjoy one-on-one mentoring. We care about your career growth and strive to assign projects based on what will help each team member develop into a better-rounded engineer and enable them to take on more complex tasks in the future.

About the 12-month Internship:

Whatever your background, if you are passionate about diversity, believe in the power and impact of equity & inclusion, and excited about how ID&E programs and initiatives are scaled to impact, Amazon is a great place to be.

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic student to join our fast paced world as an intern. An internship here will provide you with an unforgettable experience in a fast-paced, dynamic and international environment; it will provide a holistic and exciting introduction to the professional world.
