Purpose of Role:

ALM Treasury has a unique position within the BNP Paribas, it is a Transversal Activity present throughout the Group in more than 50 countries, with around 600 employees fulfilling 3 operational missions which consist of:

• managing the Group's liquidity position, both in business-as-usual conditions and in crisis situations.
• managing the interest rate risks in the banking book.
• managing operational and structural foreign exchange risks. 

ALM Treasury to operate in the financial markets and partner with all of the Group's entities.

Direct Responsibilities:

The ALM Treasury intern will work across a wide range of ALMT topics, including:

• Various ad-hoc analysis of ALMT operations, including areas such as market risk, the balance sheet and funding/liquidity topics.
• Analysis and explanation of PNL and its evolution.
• Assist in ALMT initiatives to support the business lines in understanding their liquidity consequences from their activities.
• Analyze and report on financial market & economic data and its evolution.
• Build, improve and maintain various management information & reporting.
• Support business management in regional projects.
• Assist front office team on ad-hoc tasks as required.

• Advanced Python programming skills or other programming languages are an advantage.
• Prior related internship or work experience in ad ALM/Treasury are an advantage. 

Please note that this is an internship that may require you to defer university studies for the period of the assignment.  

Start date is early July 2024.
