Position Purpose:

BNP Paribas’ Global Markets offers consistent client service and innovative solutions for investment, hedging and financing opportunities as well as research and market intelligence across asset classes, geographies, to help our clients make strategic decisions.  Our six unique business lines include Commodity Derivatives, G10 Rates, Equity Derivatives, Primary and Credit Markets, Forex & Local Markets and Prime Solutions & Financing.

BNP Paribas’ Corporate FXLM Sales (SEA) is looking for a 6-month full-time intern to join the team.

The intern will have the opportunity of working directly with a group of highly experienced salespeople across South-East Asia covering diverse products, specifically FX and Rates.  

The intern will also gain firsthand experience of the fast-paced environment of the Sales and Trading (S&T) Industry. 

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of bespoke client pitches for corporates.
• Working on special projects to identify hedging opportunities within the corporate space in South-East Asia.
• Assisting in daily activities essential to the Corporate FXLM Sales business (e.g. Market research, Pricing of fixed deposits, Summary of Market Outlooks). 

Required Skills and Abilities

• Penultimate undergraduate.
• Outspoken critical thinker.
• Strong interest in global markets particularly in FX and rates (knowledge of financial derivative products – basic should suffice, advanced would be a bonus).
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Proficiency in Mandarin not compulsory but preferred. 

Please note that this is an internship that may require you to defer university studies for the period of the assignment.  

Start date is early-June 2024.
