We are looking to provide a learning opportunity for an Intern in the Shopper Marketing and Insights Team. 

Name & Title of Hiring Manager: APAC Category & Shopper Strategy Director.  

Number of internship positions: 1. 

Preferred Period of Internship Required: June 2024 – December 2024. 

Preferred School/Course of Intern: Postgraduate students majoring in Marketing, Business and related disciplines. 

We drive business growth and strategic customer engagement. We unlock shopper insights to drive categories growth and Haleon share growth, using technology, insights and analytics.

The Shopper Marketing & Insights Intern will work closely with the APAC Category & Shopper Strategy Director and the Shopper Tech Project Manager in driving shopper insights and customer collaboration. She/He/They will be part of the APAC Commercial Excellence and the Global Shopper Science Lab teams.

The intern will work with our different marketing teams and their customers in Shopper & Trade Marketing and Category Management. 

You will be required to:

Support Deep Shopper Understanding:

  • Supporting the team in analyzing shopper insights.
  • Assisting in shopper research, from briefing to execution.
  • Organize customer meetings from logistic to content delivery to ensure we have a seamless collaborative meeting with the retailers.
  • Work with the different functions (Key Account, Trade & Shopper Marketing) to develop the right content, driving the usage of the right technologies (VR, eye-tracking, etc.).
  • Ensure all logistics of meetings are planned accordingly.

Community of Practice:

  • Create shopper best practice and excellence.
  • Support the quarterly Shopper & Category forum in defining the agenda and getting the right content ready and coordinating with the countries.

  • Build experience in Shopper Marketing and Category Management, with strong knowledge & understanding of insights, marketing and key account roles.

Required Skills and Abilities

We are seeking candidates with the following skills and competencies.

Business Skills and Competencies:

  • Educational background – studying Marketing, Business Administration.
  • Proficient in IT and software/systems.
  • Technology savvy, with understanding/interest of VR, AR, AI, eye-tracking. 

Behavioral Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Awareness and ability to work within culturally diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, think and work independently, and problem-solve.
  • Strong drive for performance, attention to details, and well-organized.
  • A keen interest in consumer healthcare science, and a passion for shopper behavior and its impact on the business (category, brand, customer).
