What to expect? 

Global Functions at HSBC comprises a number of teams that, together play a vital role in supporting the bank’s Global Businesses. We are hiring graduates into Corporate Communications which is the department responsible for designing and implementing communications strategies that support HSBC’s business objectives, in line with our values, and that enhance and protect the bank’s reputation among key stakeholders. You’ll be part of a team that works to support HSBC’s Group strategy and values as well as enhancing and protecting its reputation. We enable this through:

  • Consumer public relations, media management, leadership and employee communications, communication for major programmes, and on key business issues like trade, technology, sustainable finance, diversity and inclusion, as well as management of HSBC’s brand;
  • Financial results, media relations and archive management; and
  • A range of channels, internally and externally.

By joining our Graduate Programme in Corporate Communications Team, you will be expected to:

  • Devise and execute communications plans, with guidance from your line manager, to support business activities and strategy;
  • Participate in communication campaigns and projects to support the bank’s strategy;
  • Support with developing the content in line with HSBC values and ensure alignment with global policies; and
  • Support the effective communication of HSBC priorities, company purpose and business activities to a range of audiences.

Who can apply?

To be eligible, you must be a final year undergraduate or recent graduate from any discipline with availability to work full time from October 2023 onwards. Candidates with a good academic standing of at least second-class honors degree or above are preferred.

You must possess:  

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Good learning attitude and able to work with multiple stakeholders;
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Fluency in English
  • The legal right to work in Singapore
