Global Functions comprises a number of teams that, together play a vital role in supporting the bank’s Global Businesses.

The functions which we will be recruiting into are:

• Finance – provides financial insight, accuracy and control, using analytical skills to support our Global Businesses and influence and challenge business decisions;
• Strategic Planning – helps inform strategic decision-making and acts as a catalyst and driver for strategic change;
• Corporate Sustainability – responsible for developing and implementing sustainability strategies and policies across HSBC;
• Corporate Communications – designs and implements communications strategies that support HSBC’s business objectives, in line with our values, and that enhance and protect the bank’s reputation among key stakeholders;
• Internal Audit – provides an independent, objective assessment of HSBC’s risk management, control and governance processes;
• Risk – supports HSBC globally in all aspects of risk management including security, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market and reputational;
• Chief Digital Office – drive growth and strategic planning by evolving an organisation into the digital age. Our focus is on creating new value through the smart use of digital tools, platforms, technologies, automation, and processes that are relevant to the business;
• Human Resources – responsible for implementing HSBC’s people strategy including talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

Requirements

To be eligible, you must be a final year undergraduate or recent graduate from any discipline with availability to work full time from October 2023 onwards. Candidates with a good academic standing of at least second-class honors degree or above are preferred.

You must possess:  

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Good learning attitude and able to work with multiple stakeholders
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Fluency in English
• The legal right to work in Singapore
