HSBC Securities Services Summer Internship – Singapore

Overview

Gain insight into how we connect clients and their investors to investment opportunities across the globe, safekeeping their assets, valuing their portfolios and settling their transactions.

What you’ll do

During your 10 weeks with us you’ll be part of one of our teams such as Product Development, Client Management, Business Management or the Non-Financial Risk functions, and other teams.

You will be responsible for supporting and delivering a project that will give you direct experience with our products and services and teams, both locally and globally.

You’ll get exposure to multiple areas and skills including client management, change and product development, networking and stakeholder management.

You’ll have opportunities to spend time with our current graduates and connect with other interns to share with and learn from each other.

You’ll work closely with your placement manager, direct team, intern sponsor and a variety of other colleagues who will help you develop your knowledge and capabilities so that you’re set up to succeed.

Upon successful completion of your internship, you could have the opportunity to join our graduate programme the following year to gain more knowledge and experience in Securities Services.

What you’ll learn

You’ll increase your knowledge of Securities Services through the support, training and experience you’ll get by working alongside teams involved in Custody, Funds and Depository Services, Agency Lending and Liquidity services, Alternatives, Trustee and Fiduciary services, and Digital Data and Innovation.

You’ll gain insight into one or two products or services over 10 weeks.

You’ll learn how to navigate your way around a large, global organisation, improve your communication skills, and develop capabilities in a variety of technical areas.

You’ll understand the relationships between our Markets and Securities Services business, and how they work together to serve our clients.

Requirements

• Available to work full time for 10 weeks commencing May 2024
• Obtained, or expected to achieve, a GPA of at least 4.0 / 5.0 or 3.2 / 4.0 (as appears on your official university transcript or degree certificate), or overseas equivalent to this
• Fluent in English
