We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Intern.

What You Will Do

  • Work with various key stakeholders to identify opportunities for improving EHS practices and processes.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits, contributing to the development of effective mitigation strategies.
  • Review current EHS processes, policies, and procedures to identify areas for improvement and propose practical solutions to enhance safety and compliance.
  • Support the maintenance and organization of EHSrelated documents, policies, procedures, and training materials, ensuringaccurate and up-to-date information.
  • Ensure compliance with the industry standards and regulatory requirements, by assisting in the preparation and coordination of customer and internal audits.
  • Take on adhoc projects that provide exposure to various aspects of EHS management, gaining knowledge in the various disciplines of EHS.
  • Participate in Safety Committees, liaising with cross functional teams to enhance the organization’s safety culture. 

Scope:

  • Increase EHS knowledge by getting hands-on experience of managing the operations.
  • Understand the acts and legislations regulating EHS according to Singapore and Global standards.
  • Gain a firsthand experience of EHS management within the Semiconductor Industry.
  • Gain practical experience in the implementation of EHS programs and initiatives within a dynamic corporate environment.
  • Gain experience in Fire Safety management in the corporate setting, by playing an integral part in its database maintenance regime.
  • Learn from experienced professionals in the field of EHS, who will provide guidance, mentorship, and opportunities for professional growth.
  • Gain comprehensive knowledge and experience of key EHS systems through various training sessions and workshops.

Deliverable:

Establish a robust Fire and Safety database which complies to internal and Singapore standards. 

Required Skills and Abilities

Skillset Required:

  • Written & spoken fluency in English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Course of interest: Pursuing studies in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering

Duration Period: Min 4 months.
