Join us as a Procurement Engineer Intern to make an impact!   
   
You will join the Projects team, where we execute customer projects for energy management in East Asia and Japan. 
  
Location: Kallang

What You Will Do

• You will join the East Asia procurement team to support manufacturing plants in the region, (especially Thailand), in which you will work with stakeholders from various functions (procurement, s/chain, quality, tooling, warehouse.) and suppliers (local and global) to drive supplier performance (productivity, delivery, quality, sustainability, digitization. Etc). 
• This role will manage day to day procurement activities, support operation needs, identify and drive productivity (negotiation, eRA, QVE, change of suppliers, localization, Quota allocation), and support regional project management (Supplier risk and resilience, E-costing, scrap recovery, sustainability). 
• Support supplier negotiation, price and Terms & condition validation, implementation in SAP and monthly productivity tracking & validation. 
• Contribute to building productivity pipeline through QVE/ Change of supplier (common parts benchmark, best practice from other region, competitor products benchmark, supplier innovation, market intelligent…. etc.). 
• Support day to day operation issues or conflict resolution with suppliers: 
  
  • Secure supplier capacity, expedite delivery, open market sourcing, alternative. 
  • Price and payment resolution. 
  • Quality issue resolution. 
• Work with different stakeholders to accelerate QVE actions, follow up sample submission from suppliers, update documents and keep track of the implementation and saving. 
• Support eRA (e- reverse auction) from identifying opportunity, RFQ preparation and getting supplier onboarding to the event. 
• Project management: To animate following meetings with regional plant project leader (Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, Australia, Korea):  
  
  • Supplier risk and resilience (establish 9-box assessment, execution, monitoring). 
  • Scrap recovery (support regional benchmark and establish standard and agreement to maximize scrap return that compliance to local regulations). 
  • E-Costing (support cost model digitization, development, and deployment). 
  • Sustainability (Green plastic & packaging implementation).

Required Skills and Abilities

What qualifications will make you successful? 

• Education: Bachelor’s in Engineering/Business Management related or similar. 
• Skills/Systems Knowledge: Excel, Powerpoint presentation, Tableau/Power BI.
