About the Team:

Join Shopee's Marketplace Promotion team, a hub of e-commerce innovation! Our dedicated engineers in backend, frontend, and QA drive seamless promotions and elevate the buyer experience.

Architects of primary entry points like the Homepage and Banners, we collaborate with the APP team to enhance user traffic efficiency.

Steering features like Vouchers, Item Discounts & Flash Sale, Add on Deals & Bundle deals, Shopee Coins, we propel discounts, boost platform traffic, and elevate seller orders. Empowering campaign management with efficient platforms, we redefine marketing efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop and maintain backend services.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to the end solution.
• Execute and implement technical designs.
• Troubleshoot issues related to business logic or performance.
• Develop internal tools or alert bots to improve efficiency and quality. 

Required Skills and Abilities

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields, expected to graduate in 2025.
• Familiar with at least one backend programming language such as Java, Python, Golang or C++
• Strong in logical thinking and problem-solving skills, actively seeking challenges.
• Strong ownership, good communication skills, having teamwork spirit and capable of working independently under pressure.
• Passionate about coding and programming, innovation, and solving challenging problems.
• Good understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures and algorithms, operating systems, networks, databases, etc.).
• Candidates must be able to commit at least 3 months of full-time internship from May 2024.

Good to have:

• Hands-on experience with Golang.
• Familiar with Linux operating system.
• Familiar with relational databases such as MySQL. 
• Exposure to performance tuning of high load systems.
