The Programme

The SCM Trainee will be given training to be developed as an SCM Specialist once confirmed.

The main function of the SCM trainee is to assist the SCM Tender Lead in developing the SCM Tender workbook, Liasing with Internal/ external stakeholders as required. Duties would also cover extensive data analysis & benchmarking in MS Excel.

Key capabilities development related to Supply Chain Management, interaction with Tendering, Planning, Engineering, Operations & Suppliers is envisaged. 

Formal training courses:

This is organized locally and virtually in Singapore and provides the opportunity to gain deeper insights of some key aspects related to Supply chain and Project Support functions. 
 
Mentoring:

You will be assigned a mentor who will provide guidance and support your progression. The mentor will maintain regular contact with you providing direction to help you achieve targets and goals.

Personal development:

You will participate in project tasks to challenge your presentation and team building skills. Also network with other Subsea 7 personnels in different locations. 
 
Applications are now sought from degree qualified candidates who are holding a bachelor’s degree preferably in one of the following:

  • Supply chain management.
  • Engineering with a related commercial subject.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • No required Years of Working Experience.
  • Degree holders (Engineering, Supply Chain plus but not mandatory).
  • Proficient in English, with very good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Great attitude and willing to learn.
  • Great teamwork.
  • MS Excel (Good skills is an advantage, Word, PowerPoint)
  • SAP (plus skill but not mandatory).
  • Ability to travel upon request for periods of up to 1 month.

PERSONAL SKILLS

  • Creative problem solving - able to suggest and develop new methods and ways of working.
  • Sound communication skills – able to communicate ideas and results to various stakeholders both in written reports and in meetings, presentations etc.
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision.
  • The ability to organize and prioritize own work and as such have responsibility for discrete work packages ongoing simultaneously.
  • Understanding of clients’ needs and ability to suggest and apply “fit for purpose” solutions.
