Keen to join the Data Centre Industry?  Singtel, an established and the leading operator of high-quality Data Centres in Singapore is on the lookout for new talents to join the team as we seek to grow our Data Centres portfolio in Singapore and regionally.

As a Maintenance Engineer (Electrcial) in a Data Centre, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of the electrical infrastructure supporting critical data center operations. This is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates with a background in electrical engineering or a related field.

Make an Impact by

  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including generators, switchgear, UPS systems, and power distribution units.
  • Identify and rectify potential issues before they escalate to prevent unplanned downtime.
  • Troubleshooting: Respond promptly to electrical issues and emergencies, diagnose problems, and implement effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to minimize impact on data center services during maintenance activities.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including schedules, work performed, and any equipment replacements or upgrades.
  • Update and create documentation for electrical systems to facilitate future troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including facility engineers, IT personnel, and contractors, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other data center components.
  • Participate in regular meetings to discuss ongoing projects and address any issues or concerns.
  • Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and safety regulations relevant to electrical maintenance in data centers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in electrical systems and propose upgrades or modifications.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and industry trends related to data center electrical infrastructure.

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with data center operations and critical facility infrastructure is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Participate in on-the-job training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and advancements in electrical engineering through continuous learning.
