As an Operation Maintenance Engineer in the Data Centre, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation, maintenance, and optimal performance of critical infrastructure components within the data center facility. This role is suitable for a recent graduate with a background in electrical, mechanical, or related engineering fields who is eager to learn and contribute to the dynamic field of data center operations.

Make an Impact by

Equipment Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Monitor and maintain critical data center infrastructure, including but not limited to HVAC systems, UPS units, generators, and fire suppression systems.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.

Emergency Response:

• Participate in emergency response activities, addressing issues such as power outages, equipment failures, and other critical incidents.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve emergencies promptly and efficiently.
   

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and performance metrics.
• Generate reports on system health, energy consumption, and other relevant data center metrics.
   

Collaboration:

• Work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to gain hands-on experience and knowledge in data center operations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement improvements, upgrades, and changes to enhance overall data center efficiency.

Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices related to data center operations.

Troubleshooting:

• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, coordinating with vendors for technical support when necessary.
• Develop and implement solutions to address recurring issues and enhance system reliability

The main duties and responsibilities will be subjected to review when there is change in business requirements and scope of work.

Skills for Success

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies in the data center industry.
• Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical principles is a plus.

Training:

• On-the-job training will be provided to familiarize the candidate with specific data center equipment, processes, and protocols.
